​Heatley Secondary College was first established as Heatley State High School in 1968. More than forty years on, the school has not just undergone a name change.  Heatley Secondary College has seen the addition of several new state of art facilities including a Digital Trade Training Centre, the Townsville Creative Technologies College (TCTC), a Multi Media Learning Centre with an auditorium, video editing facilities and a blue room for filming, a multi purpose sports hall and gym, an aquaponics facility, new science laboratories and most recently a cyclone shelter which boasts a second sports hall and a specialised sports laboratory.

The College is a technology rich environment that is constantly seeking to meet the challenges of all our clientel, both young adolescents and our adult learners, through maintaining excellent facilities and industry standard resources.
