The People, Culture & Country project was invited to perform at the second POSE wearable art event on Saturday, 26 August 2023, as part of the Townsville City Council's North Australian Festival of Arts (NAFA).

An extension of the original People, Culture & Country project, POSE provided our students with an opportunity to model their artworks in a live performance in front of over 650 people. The show was complemented by a dance performance by students from Heatley Secondary College working with William Mabo from Wulgurukaba Walkabouts. Music for the modelled performance was composed by Isadore with assistance from William Mabo.

The 26 pieces on show were from the 2021 and 2022 projects and were provided by the following schools:

  • Ayr State School
  • Bluewater State School
  • Bohlevale State School
  • Bwgcolman Community School
