These programs are evidence-based and incorporate resilience-building, respectful relationships, self-regulation, self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and social-management; the sub-elements of the Personal and Social Capabilities Curriculum.
Mountain Bike Club
The Trailblazers MTB Club builds student's confidence and teaches them important life skills such as how to 'Ride' through learning a range of safety checks and skill development, how to 'Fix' mountain bikes, and how to 'Give Back' through collecting containers for change. At the end of the course, students receive a Trailblazers MTB Essential Skills Certificate and an invitation to ride with the Club on trails outside of school.
The Trailblazers MTB Essential Skills include:
- Mount and dismount on trails
- Body position
- Braking and cornering
