Wraparound care
Student wellbeing is embedded in our Wraparound Care structure. House Prides form the cornerstone of an integrated care system that focuses on building a strong culture of community membership, connection and belonging. Students are encouraged to identify not only as Heatley Proud Learners who belong to a specific year level, but also a member of a House Pride and House Den.
Upon enrolment, students are assigned to a House Pride and to a year level House Den with a teacher who remains with them for the rest of their time at Heatley. Their Den teacher is responsible for mentoring and supporting the wellbeing of each student in the Den. Students are also supported by members of the Student Wellbeing Team.
At Heatley Secondary College, we have three (3) school houses in each year level - Cleveland Sharks, Lavarack Eagles and Melton Dragons.
