Parents and community members play an important role in education and a strong partnership between parents and schools enriches the learning experience for students.
Research shows that children do better in school when parents communicate regularly with teachers and become involved in the education of their children.
Learning Progress Conversations
Learning Progress Conversations are a formal opportunity to meet in person and have a conversation with each of your child's teachers. Interviews are an opportunity to find out about your child’s progress both academically and socially, set future goals, discuss social aspects of school and put plans in place for continued success. Parent involvement in education is a powerful force and interviews are important for ALL children, regardless of their academic, extra-curricular or social achievements. At Heatley Secondary College, we host parent-teacher nights early in term 2 and again in term 3.
