College captain Danielle Dulalia turned compassion into action on World Suicide Prevention Day, taking part in “Out of the Shadows & Into the Light Townsville" to raise vital funds for Lifeline and shine a light on the importance of suicide prevention and mental health support.

With every step, Danielle walked in memory of those whose lives have been lost to suicide, while also helping to create hope for those who may be struggling today. Her commitment to the cause is a powerful example of how young people can use their voice, leadership and compassion to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Danielle's fundraising journey was made even more special by the incredible support of our college community. Students, families, staff and friends came together to donate, share her fundraiser and encourage her every step of the way. Thanks to this collective generosity, Danielle not only reached her fundraising goal but exceeded what she set out to achieve.

The funds raised will contribute to Lifeline's ongoing work supporting suicide prevention and providing vital assistance to people experiencing difficult times.

We are incredibly proud of Danielle for demonstrating such compassion, courage and leadership and for reminding us all that even one person's actions can inspire an entire community.

Congratulations, Danielle, and a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who supported her and helped turn a walk into a powerful message of hope, connection and care.
